Team trading for the win in IEL

The biggest resource to accelerate your trading and growth is the team you build around you.

Today was the perfect illustration. All the background work on a breaking news trade was done by the team in the office in the build-up to a scheduled announcement. When the news hit, it was then about quick information processing and collaborating to execute to the best of abilities.

A decent chop was made by all.

This doesn’t happen by fluke. It comes from paying it forward, sharing quality information, and offering value where possible. It takes time and trust. The results then speak for themselves.

Everyone has unique skillsets and abilities. An open team environment can offer the best medium for these talents to be leveraged for the benefit of all. You just have to be open to it. Of course, there are real concerns regarding edge erosion and giving away too much in certain scenarios. However, the more time I spend in the market, the more evidence I receive that these fears are overblown and wasted energy versus the huge opportunity set of growing with others.

The write-up that follows is a positive reinforcement of the power of teams. Focus on building solid networks with talented individuals.
