Very polished writing and amazing content mate! I love all of it but especially the description of the Winner's Game and the parallels with trading. I am sure that writing these is time consuming, but there is a lot of value and we appreciate it.
Hi Austin. I just subscribed. Loved what i read and keep up the good work. I am finding ways to improve and "make more by doing less" is definitely something that resonates with me. I have been too eager to be in the market and overtrading is an area to improve on. I love sports and your writeup struck me like an "ace service". Cheers.
That’s great to hear. Thanks so much for the feedback. Where I think people struggle with Overtrading is because there isn’t one simple answer for most people. What are the patterns where YOU tend to overtrade? What are the commonalities and triggers. Sit on this and then can build actionable solutions. For most developing traders it really is just a lack of rules and systems = shooting around
Many gems in this article. What I found interesting is how it all comes back to self-awareness as the foundation on which everything else is built, and how writing regularly is useful for developing self-awareness. Are you familiar with the work of Robert Kegan? In his book ‘Immunity to Change,’ he talks about the three stages of adult development, where the most common stage that most people get stuck at is the socialized mind. From there, some progress to the self-authoring stage, and finally, some develop a self-transforming mind. The hallmark of this mind is that it is aware of its thought patterns and their consequences—something people at earlier stages have trouble with. Therefore, to tie it back to your article, they wouldn’t know which game they’re playing and would be prone to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.
I like your take there. This does certainly resonate. I haven’t read this work but will check. I am a huge advocate of self-awareness as you know. I structure my day to take breaks to cue the pattern
Thats very kind. Thank you

Hey Austin, great post per usual. What AI image software are you using for your thumbnails?
